UTM Geo Map is complete, simple, easy to use & free application for Land Surveying, Topography, Bathymetry & GIS. Suitable for Geodesy Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology and other disciplines related to maps, coordinates, location, address and spatial analysis. Can be used as a tool in determining position, coordinates, location & address, area & distance measurement, simple spatial analysis such as Overlay, Buffering and finding coordinate location on the field / stake out.
This app is designed to help you with your work in the field and in the studio, let's take a look at the modules included in Apple version of UTM Geo Map APP:
Map Coordinates: Can be used to obtain Latitude Longitude, UTM, MGRS and other Coordinate Reference System using EPSG Codes in real time. Plot points complete with coordinate data, addresses, notes, photo and MSL elevation (premium). Export saved points to CSV or KML files.
Offline GPS: Used to get coordinates in an offline state (without internet access), your cellphone will function like a Handheld GPS to get Latitude Longitude coordinates, UTM, MGRS, Elevation (ellipsoid), MSL Elevation (geoid), accuracy and other useful information. Coordinates data can be stored in an unlimited number inside your databases, given notes / labels, photos or exported into CSV files.
Contours: Module to generate contours based on number of contour lines, desired elevation or contour interval. This is premium module and need internet connection.
Coordinates Converter: To convert coordinates manually from Latitude Longitude to UTM & MGRS and vice versa. It can also be used to convert Addresses to Coordinates (Geocoding).
Area/Distance: Used to measure distance and area with various units (support units: m, km, ft, miles, hectare, acre), register lines / polygons, make polygons automatically from measure points using sophisticated Convex Hull, Concave Hull or Trace ID methods.
Create polygon holes manually or automatically from covered polygons. Automatically repair invalid geometry / self-crossing polygons, and much more. You can store unlimited lines / polygons in your database, displayed on a map, add photos and labels or exported to CSV or KML files. This module also includes spatial editing algorithms like Snap Nearest, Delete Object Inside or Outside Polygon.
Buffer/Overlay: Simple GIS module to perform spatial analysis such as buffering & overlays (and other GIS operations) with several options including Union, Intersection, Difference and Symmetrical Difference. Already support negative buffer for polygons.
Find Point: Module to find a location or coordinates in the field / Stake Out using built in GPS and Compass on your cell phone.
Compass Map: Module with Maps, Compass, Distance and Azimuth to assist navigation and stake out on the field.
Elevation Profile: Premium module to create simple Elevation Profile, this module need internet connection.
